Wildcats Overcome Slow Start to Defeat Sun Devils
Fifita Throws Two Touchdowns in Fourth Quarter
Tucson, Ariz. – Arizona quarterback Noah Fifita threw two touchdown passes to Michael Wiley in the fourth quarter to lead the Wildcats to a 31-24 victory over the Arizona State Sun Devils on Saturday.
The Wildcats trailed 24-17 entering the fourth quarter, but Fifita connected with Wiley on a 10-yard touchdown pass with 11:56 remaining to tie the game. Fifita then found Wiley again for a 25-yard touchdown pass with 4:30 left to give Arizona the lead for good.
Fifita finished the game 26-for-38 passing for 312 yards and three touchdowns. Wiley caught seven passes for 102 yards and two touchdowns.
The Wildcats improved to 7-5 overall and 5-4 in the Pac-12 with the victory. The Sun Devils fell to 6-6 overall and 4-5 in the Pac-12.
